Motorola Xoom - Latest Tablet

One of the competitors to the iPad2, Xoom is a tablet coming from Motorola. Running on an Android Honeycomb OS, the tablet is at par with most of the applications on the iPad2. The screen size, however, is bigger than the iPad at 10.1” with 150pixels per inch for still images and 720p resolution for moving images. Other features on the display include – a light sensitive screen, pinch to zoom navigation and virtual keyboard. Like the ipad2, there are dual cameras on Xoom – a main 5MP camera and 2MP web-camera with VGA resolution for video-call. A noticeable feature on the device is the virtual keyboard, where the keys are adequately spaced out in both landscape and portrait orientations. The keyboard happens to be both swift and accurate and better compared to the iPad, where the letters are much smaller.

On the hardware front, the Xoom works on a 1-Ghz NVIDIA Tegra2 dual core processor. It supports up to 1GB of RAM and up to 32GB of HDD space. A whole lot of users would complain of iPad2 not supporting Adobe Flash, which is not the case here. Xoom supports Flash for you to enjoy videos from popular video sharing sites like You Tube. Other features on the tablet include proximity sensor, quick office, gyroscope and Google Maps. The standard battery on the tablet works for 9hrs and can extend on standby for 14days. All the above features make it one of the most talked tablets in the market today. This Motorala Xoom is available on the India Shopping website, homeshop18.com for Rs.38, 500. At the shopping site, homeshop18.com – the tablet is available with a 1yr Warranty and Free Shipping assurance.
