SIMS PC Game

This is a strategic life-simulation computer game developed by Maxis and is published by Electronic Arts. The game revolves around individuals called SIMS, who come in three life-stages; infant, child and adult. The infants grow to become children but the child and the adult remain the same although out life. However, SIM can die through drowning, starving or accidental fire. Each newly created family gets 20,000 in money and can use it to purchase a house, land or remodel their house. The ideal way to earn sustained income is by having a regular job. There are also other activities, which the SIMs can involve in – like receiving guests at home and interacting with neighbours. Time can also be scheduled for them to develop skills like reading, creativity and logic.

Another interesting feature of the game is the need for the characters to be fed. Else, they are prone to death. Similarly, if their needs are not fulfilled they can become grumpy and disobey orders from the player. The system is designed in line with Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, where there is need to attend the physiological and other needs as well. This makes the game players to have a certain amount of free will, with which they can over-ride the player’s instructions. This game and other games in this series are available on watch online shopping website, homeshop18.com. The online shopping website has SIMS2, SIMS University, SIMS2 Pets, SIMS Sail as other well-known game from the series.
