Undercover Economist - Novel Narration on Economics

Tim Harford was always known by the English readers as columnist who wrote “Dear Economist” for the Financial Times newspaper. He amused readers by suggesting ideas in economic theory to solve reader’s personal problems. He extended the idea of the book to write a full-fledged book, titled the undercover economist. He introduces the reader to various economic tools like demand-supply interactions, market failures, externalities, globalisation, international trade and comparative advantage in non-technical terms in an amusing manner.  The explanation comes across in the form of amusing questions to why you cannot buy a decent second hand car? Or How Mafia is making through laundries? Or Who really benefits from immigration? By answering these questions, the author basically spells out the economic framework that governs the current economic system.
